I enjoy indica cannabis lineage

My wife hates how picky I am with the food I consume.

She likes eating food from all over the world! She is recognizably fond of Middle Eastern food and East Asian food.

It’s not that I’m opposed to any of these cuisines, I just have a few favorite dishes that I like. If we are getting takeout, she can believe our order before I say anything. I am used to growing up in a family where all of us had the same meals each day of the week, and the main courses never deviated. For instance, Sunday night was pizza night while Tuesday night was steak night. It’s like eating in the military, there’s no option and no deviation from the possibilities given. So when you’re rapidly finding yourself with endless options for food, you fall back on past habits. At least that’s what I’ve tried to explain to our wifey, however I’m not sure if she understands. I think I have this partiality as well as pickiness with more things than just food though. I know it applies to cannabis for sure, especially how I prefer to consume any marijuana products that are available for purchase. I only buy medical marijuana flower products, and I only vaporize. I don’t like smoking marijuana flower buds like some do, I find that vaporizing gives me better effects. Whenever I make an order with a cannabis delivery service here in town, I consistently get marijuana flower products of some kind. I have my number one strains, however usually I’ll get anything that has indica lineage of some kind, even if it’s a hybrid strain.

I am picky when it comes to most foods

My husband hates how picky I am with the food I consume! He loves eating food from all over the world.

I don’t really like smoking marijuana, vaporizing is better.

How medical weed will be affected

I know I can speak for all the people when I saw this recent election has proved to be both stressful & upsetting for all the people invested.

Regardless of your chosen candidates across the board, there were laws being voted on in a number of states that poised to have large impacts on society at hand.

My state has spent so many years with a stagnant minimum wage of around seven bucks, but now voters have approved an initiative that will raise it a dollar a year until it hits $15. This could change the lives of hundreds of American people. It is no small leap of progress, that is to be certain. But the social improvements haven’t stopped there. We’re now seeing the biggest expansion of legal cannabis that we’ve seen in history. Most states either have medical weed, recreational, or both; For those who were still feeling left out while the rest of the country was enjoying legal weed, they can finally have access to clean & safe cannabis at last. As more places open in each state, the cost of legal marijuana goes down. I can’t see any negative impacts of opening access to safe & legal cannabis, aside from the perspective of a crime lord making tons on the illegal black market. I hope that marijuana becomes federally legal as soon as possible. There needs to be standardization across the spectrum with no states left out of the process. We need to make it legal for marijuana companies to safely store their cash too.

A more natural way to treat depression

But the best kind of relief came when I tried a cannabis concentrate one day that my buddy had on hand.

It’s upsetting when you reluctantly agree to try a new pharmaceutical medication, only to be disappointed with a lack of results. I spent years not wanting to try any mental health medications, regardless of what type. I thought that they would hardwire my brain & change my mental processes for the worst, & even if I got some relief it wouldn’t be worth the cost. I’m glad that I was totally not right. I tried half a dozen unusual antidepressant drugs, & I didn’t recognizably like the effects I got from any of them. However, none of them had any lasting effects, especially cons. Instead, they helped a tad, which is much more than I expected. As such, I didn’t want to throw in the towel while taking other medications. So, the SSRI meds didn’t work well with my brain chemistry. But, a neuropathy drug called gabapentin that is used off-label as a mood stabilizer, worked wonders. At last, I felt some sense of stability with my day to day psychology. But the best kind of relief came when I tried a cannabis concentrate one day that my buddy had on hand. I live in a state that has both medical marijuana dispensaries & legal recreational cannabis stores. Most people go to the recreational stores because it costs more to keep a medical card. This cannabis concentrate turned out to be cannabis distillate oil, which has a massively high THC content compared to cannabis flower products. For the first time, I felt all of my depression simply go away.

Weed needs temperature control too

I hate trying to purchase ice cream during the Summer months.

I used to put the carton straight into a grocery bag, but 1/2 of it would melt on the way home. Putting it in a paper bag helped, but soon I realized I’d need to close the ice cream bag in between 2 other freezing grocery items. But when that only added a slight change, I realized I should combine both approaches. I got a small little box sized cooler & put 2 freezing drinks from my fridge inside so I could sandwich the ice cream in between. This finally did the job right. Using these coolers for all freezing & perishable food is a great idea, especially if you have a long drive home. The last thing you want is your new chicken spoiling in your car as you make your way back to your house. I also purchase cannabis products that are temperature sensitive, mainly concentrates love distillate, shatter, wax, rosin, hashish, & crumble. Some of these products will melt at temperatures higher than 75 degrees, making a mess in the bag they’re purchased inside. Other concentrates love distillate oil & shatter get severely hard & tough at freezing temperatures. This is perfect with shatter, because at that temperature you can often get a clean cut when you go to snap a little piece off. With a distillate syringe, if the product is too cold, it won’t squeeze out no matter how hard you try. You have to heat it either with a low powered heat gun, a lighter held at a distance, or in warm water.

It varies state to state

Things weren’t so easy for early medical marijuana patients in every state.

  • My state voted for a law that would give patients access to natural marijuana to smoke or vaporize, but for 2 years the only products available were small.

They had tinctures, oils, capsules, & vaporizer cartridges containing high THC distillate. But if you wanted cannabis flower products, you were sorely upset. It took marijuana lovers in the state 2 years to get the laws changed allowing for whole-plant dry cured cannabis flower buds to be available to all medical marijuana patients. When I moved to my new state, I assumed that its medical marijuana plan would be facing similar cons. There are a lot of the same kind of politicians ruling at our state’s capital as there were where I lived last. I wanted to finally get a medical weed recommendation so I could shop at the cannabis dispensaries. The first thing I did was find a good physician who is given permission by the state to prescribe medical marijuana to their patients. The process was simpler than I expected; & when I asked him about the kinds of products available in the state, I was shocked by her response. She said that both of us have tinctures, oils, skin creams, capsules, vape cartridges, concentrates love shatter & hashish, flower products, & edibles. The cannabis dispensaries here offer almost all of the same products to my state’s medical marijuana patients as the recreational states out west. I was beyond excited to visit the cannabis dispensary for the first time. Since there are so many first-time patient coupons from store to store, I’m going to have a blast trying it all.

Marijuana businesses have security guards and cameras inside their stores

I have noticed that some banks have security guards in their lobbies while others don’t.

I was depositing a paycheck this afternoon when I saw one stationed at a desk towards the back of the lobby. He appeared to be working on the computer, but you could tell he had a gun holster on his belt. Honestly, I’d rather go into a bank with security than one without. I know that bank heists are more of a product of Hollywood films and television shows, but robberies do happen in real life. I’d rather not become a random hostage or casualty of an unwitting bank robber. It’s no surprise then that banks are not the only public businesses that feature armed guards inside their entrances. All of the medical and recreational marijuana dispensaries in my state have at least one or two armed guards in their lobbies. They’re not hidden either—it’s immediately obvious by their size, their uniform, and the black pistol holstered to their waste. Back before cannabis had any form of legality in my state, the conservatives warned that thugs, gangsters, and Mexican warlords would be storming our future dispensaries and unleashing chaos on the suburbs if we ever dared to allow for legal marijuana sales. He was wrong in every conceivable way, but it doesn’t mean the dispensaries should be complacent either. Having an armed guard at a legal marijuana store is a good idea, even if it’s just to deposit an angry customer out the front door. Plus, seeing an armed security should deter most people from doing something stupid, regardless of their intent.

The cannabis dispensary I like so much has too many sativa strains right now

Every month I make a large order with the cannabis dispensary that is roughly 20 minutes from my house.

There are two that are closer, but I don’t like their products at all.

Some of the cannabis flower products that I have bought have been mixed quality. While the best dispensaries produce top shelf marijuana that rivals some of the best products from out west, others produce products that an average home grower would balk at. There are few things worse than opening a jar of cannabis flower buds only to get a huge whiff of tea aroma instead of the rich smell of marijuana. Then you pull out a single flower bud that crumbles under the slightest bit of pressure from your fingers. This is the quality that I see many happily paying for each week when they go to these particular dispensaries. They don’t really have the discerning taste to know what they’re buying is severely low quality. It would be fine if these products were dirt cheap, so their cash value matched their real value. Sadly, you can spend $40 at two different marijuana dispensaries and receive one product that looks, smells, and feels like cheap homegrown weed, while the other looks like it could be a feature in High Times magazine. I just wish the latter dispensary had some indica strains for once! They have an abundance of sativa strains and sativa leaning hybrid strains, but no indicas right now. I love sativa cannabis strains for daytime use, but I also need indica cannabis strains to wind down after a long day of work.
